Cross Laminated Timber under Concentrated Compression Loads - Methods of Reinforcement

نویسندگان

چکیده

Point-supported flat slabs made of cross laminated timber (CLT) for multi-storey buildings pose various challenges to structural design. One aspect are concentrated compressive loads, which cause stress concentrations in the form shear and compression perpendicular grain at point supports. The present work deals with this problem shows a method, how support area can be reinforced system connector. After specification connector, functionality construction element is described on basis experimental, numerical analytical studies symmetrical loading. interaction connector presented an anlaytical model simulations, evaluated mechanical tests.

Cross Laminated Timber Construction for Resisting Lateral Loads on Six Level Buildings

The author’s intention is to contribute to the general discussion on timber multi-level commercial buildings. Interest in this topic is expected due to the environmental advantages of timber construction when compared to concrete and steel. This paper looks into three timber based systems for resisting lateral loads for buildings to six storeys, that will ensure relatively ‘open’ floor spaces. ...

Stability Analysis of Laminated Cylindrical Shells under Combined Axial Compression and Non-Uniform External Pressure

This study investigates geometrical non-linear analysis of composite circular cylindrical shells under external pressure over part of their surfaces and also shells subjected to combined axial compression and triangular external pressure. Donnell non-linear shell theory along with first order shear deformation theory (FOSD) are adopted in the analysis. In the case of combined axial compression ...
